I thought I would just write about why I am afraid to start writing. I feel like the first entry really sets the stage of a person's blog. What if I wrote something that turned everyone off to my blog or just didn't make sense. I am way too much of a perfectionist to want that to happen!
I want this blog to be a place where I can write about natural remedies that I am passionate about and have used. I used homeopathy, herbs, flower essences, babywearing and breastmilk to cure almost every ailment that comes into our house. Some would say I am a bit obsessive about it all and it is all I talk about. How can I not? When you see something work so well for your most loved ones, it's hard not to get passionate about it. It is then equally hard not to talk about something you are passionate about with your friends!
I am sure it is pretty easy to see how homeopathy, herbs and flower essences can be used to cure family ailments. But what?? Babywearing? Breatmilk? How would you use those things to "cure" illnesses?
Easy! Babywearing is a great way to comfort your sick child. From newborn age to age 3 or so. I have used babywearing often myself; not just for daily traveling but as medicine.
When my children were first born, I would wear my baby with no shirt on and baby naked as well. This process really helped with milk production and bonding! When my breast would start to get clogged the best medicine was to wear my child and let them nurse often. The plugged duct was usually cured in 24 hours.
What about breatmilk; shouldn't that just be used for infant food?
Sure it is the superior infant food, but it can be used to aid in healing cuts, pink eye, chapped lips, and nasal congestion just to name a few of the common things.
Well, I hope this works. The first blog entry is officially posted! I hope this gets and keeps me going.
It's great that you have started this blog. I'll keep an eye one it.
